this is the first pre production Eureka cast, (ie everything cast though with a lot of flashing, due to a mould handling error, which was cleaned up post casting.)
Surface pitting on the demi sun was resolved in subsequent casts by addition of some geometric patterning on the sun.
Once the mould was fine tuned, pieces cast with no cleanup requirement beyond clipping the sprue. - occasional small bits of flashing and minor casting flaws, but well within the tolerances of extant pieces.
